Conyers, GA asked in Family Law for Georgia

Q: I need help with a temporary timesharing order for my children. We were recently involved in a car accident and are

This time sharing case was established in Florida, however I and the children reside in Georgia. The father resides in North Carolina. Under the order I am supposed to meet the father with the children in South Carolina, however myself and one of the children are under chiropractic care and I'm physically unable to do so. I informed the father of the incident, but he told his lawyer I'm refusing the timesharing agreement and the lawyer is now threatening to sue me for fees. I advised him of the circumstances this evening. I have filed a motion to have the case dismissed based on Florida not having jurisdiction at the recommendation of a georgia attorney however the court date options are all after the date that I'm supposed to meet him. What can I do?

A: It's unclear where the case is filed. If the case is filed in Florida, you need to get a Florida attorney to assist you.
