Q: What can I do to help my niece and nephew (twins) 15y/old in a guardianship if they are begging me to help them

My older sister past away in May of 2021 her two children twins my niece and nephew 15 y/old at the time lived with their mom and my mom their grandmother. In July of 2021 with no choice my younger sister had them come live with her. My younger sister has two kids of her own and her boyfriend her youngest father. It's not a positive household with him being verbally, emotionally and mentally abusive. With my sister who tries to justify or ignore and or do the same. I'm and have always been there for them and my sister who passed away. But all the kids are so depressed and unhappy. Where now twins 16y/old now are begging me to not be there. On 7/17/2022 at 11:10pm I got a call from 16y/old nephew asking for me to come getbfrom the house. In the background of home calling me my sister can be heard as well as her boyfriend were screaming get the f*** out to him repeatedly as well to my mother who was there in front of their 6y/old daughter my niece who was hysterically telling them to stop

A: You need to schedule a consultation with an attorney that specializes in dependency. This is a complex matter that will require expertise in dependency and guardianship.
