Q: Are police officers required to provide proof of radar speed detection data if requested by the driver in TN

I requested proof of speed I was accused of when pulled over and was told by the ticketing officer he did not have to provide it in TN

A: The LEO does not have to provide anything to you. In Court, he will probably testify what the radar read, and the Judge will believe him.

A: Following up on attorney Avery's post, it is still recommended that you contact a a traffic ticket attorney or 2 in your area to discuss your options and how to best mitigate your ticket----usually the cost to pay an attorney on a speeding ticket is less expensive than the months of increased auto premiums you would face for have a speeding ticket end up on your driving record.
