Denver, CO asked in Car Accidents for Colorado

Q: I was tboned while making a left turn. The car sped through a red light and hit me, I was given the citation. What to do

The report says the light was yellow although when he sped through it was red all other cars were at a complete stop when he went flying as I was turning left/west he was going south. His passenger was joking that he is always speeding, this was his new Corvette and probably showing off how fast he could go.I had my children in the car and I am a cautious driver, I have a clean driving record.

A: A Colorado attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. And if there is evidence of a fleeting nature, such as camera footage, it would need to be gathered without further delay. Does the police report list any witnesses whose statements could corroborate your position? If so, that could be helpful. You could reach out to Denver traffic ticket defense attorneys to discuss your best course of action. You could also check with your insurance carrier to find out if they investigated the matter yet, as they probably assigned an examiner in anticipation of claims. Good luck
