Q: I got a traffic ticket but it has the wrong license plate on the ticket. Does that invalidate the ticket?
I realized the other day that my traffic ticket has the wrong license plate number on it. I had given an old registration and he acknowledged it but said that I had the new blue plate so obviously I had up-to-date plates. I believe the license on the ticket is my old one but I'm not 100% as it's not exactly something that I memorized. But does that invalidate the ticket. I received a ticket a while back where the officer called me and told me the ticket was invalid due to a similar error.
A: General Sessions is not a Court of record, so amendments are made quickly. Explain Citation error to DA or Court politely. It might go well.
