THEN TAKEN TO JAIL BOOKED PROCESSED BEFORE KNOWING WHAT I WAS CHARGED WITH. HELD IN LOCK UP FOR ALMOST 48 HOURS BEFORE RECEIVING A BOND OR PHONE CALL.. THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO TELL.. DO I HAVE ANY RIGHTS OR ARE THEY ALLOWED TO TREAT PEOPLE LIKE ANIMALS???
A: Are you now charged with a crime? If so, all of this is for him or her to sort out. It would likely start with obtaining a copy of the search warrant and affidavit. If the house was suspected of being involved in a drug ring, you can almost bet that there is some combination of surveillance / controlled buys / snitches involved. And if this is big enough to be TV news, it's likely the DEA is involved, and if that's the case, just talk with anyone whose had or been involved in a federal criminal case: by the time they get around to doing a raid, they already have weeks / months, and sometimes years worth of evidence to convict at least someone ten-times over. Now, you may legitimately not be involved or know what's going on; that's entirely possible and it happens. Hopefully that is your case and you are not charged with a crime yourself.
