A: If sued, your insurance company has an obligation to defend you and will hire a lawyer to represent you. That said, your posts discuss a situation of insufficient insurance available thereby leaving you open to an excess judgment. As such---if this is truly a concern of yours, then I recommend that you consult with 1 or 2 attorneys in your area and discuss your concerns and the specifics of your case and the other party's injuries/claim.
