Q: My child turns 18 she is graduated. Do I stop child support automaticly or do I need to file something first?
The child support agreement states 18 or until completion of Highschool.
A: If the child has reached the age of majority as defined in the Order, you can just stop paying.
A: Your child support order needs to be dismissed once your child is no longer eligible for support. It does not stop automatically, especially if you have an Income Deduction Order. And oftentimes an employer will not stop an Income Deduction Order unless they receive an order from the Court.
