Q: I live in the state of Georgia, myself and my husband are involved in a case with department and family children service

The caseworker has already got caught lying under oath,no she wants our monthly meetings to be at the courthouse only and sent me a text saying so we can't record the conversation..can she do this

A: If you feel that your rights are being violated by the state, I would advise you to hire an attorney to represent you. There are attorneys who represent parents in cases such as this, which not only make sure that the social worker and the attorney representing the state handle the case accurately, but can also assist you with reunification. Because without an attorney representing the parents, it could prolong reunification of the family.
