Q: If you was in a carchase with police does the landowner have to tell them to tow it?
My boyfriend was in a car chase with local authorities on his harly Davidson. And I was wondering if the land owner had to tell them to tow it because it ended on private property and a foot chase but it was on one of our friends property
A: It isn't possible to give you an exact answer because it depends on the circumstances and the charged offence whether the police can impound the HD. If there was a car chase and the HD drove onto private property, that does not put it into a safe haven and the police may be able to impound the vehicle wherever they find it. Best to consult a local Criminal Law attorney in your area, to give him all the facts. Thanks for using Justia.
