A: Lots of risk...the cost to mitigate the risks may make it hard to turn a profit.

Let's start with business licensing / regulation. Going from house-to-house may mean you need to check multiple jurisdictions to ensure you are operating legitimately. If you have two clients on either side of the street dividing a city from a township, for instance, you may be okay in one house and not the other.

There are internal and external risks. Internally, you'll need to ensure the maids you hire are on the up-and-up. Just like in any service performed in someone's house, if something goes missing, you may be on the hook for it. Additionally, you need to ensure your maids' safety and security. At a minimum, you'll likely want / need an security person.

The external risks come from the reality that even if you're doing everything by the book, some (a lot, depending in which communities you operate in) may not appreciate your business model and will look for ways to put you out of business.
