Q: Can a gym legally charge me on the 31st day if I gave the required 30 day notice to cancel my membership?
I signed a contract at a gym that stated that I have to give a 30 day notice to cancel my membership. I canceled on the 19th of last month. My bill is do the 20th of every month. They said there should be 1 more payment, but the 20th will be 31 days.
A: A Michigan attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. It sounds like you complied, based on the brief description. But an attorney could advise more definitively with seeing the membership contract. Good luck
