St Louis, MO asked in Traffic Tickets for Missouri

Q: No court date received.

I received a ticket for VERY a minor accident in February 20th 2023 from Highway patrol. At the scene I had admitted fault, and everything. It is now August 1st 2023 and I have not received the court date and St. Louis County courts said they don’t even see a ticket in the system under that ticket number. What should I do? Did the officer just decide not to file the ticket?

A: Any ticket involving an accident takes longer to get filed. Even regular speeding tickets issued by Missouri state troopers can take several months to get filed in St. Louis County Circuit Court. There is nothing you can do until your case is filed and it shows up on Casenet. You can hire an attorney to represent you, and then it's their responsibility to monitor Casenet and then they will go to court when your ticket gets filed.
