A: It is going to be a hard road for you at this point but the best course of action is for you to hire an attorney who represents parents in these types of cases. Because without an attorney representing you, the social worker may not work with you on seeing the child and the court may not listen to you in hearings. Oftentimes the courts and the state don't listen to parents in these types of situations and it may even be hard for you to obtain temporary visitation while this is going on. And for those and many other reasons, seek an attorney directly, pay a retainer, and get your own legal representation before you sign any case plan or anything given to you.
