Albany, GA asked in Family Law for Georgia

Q: My ex and I were together for almost 30 years! He took a job that required him to be away from home %80 of the time.

During this time I raised his biological daughter including all school activities and medical requirements, holidays, etc. I was given an engagement ring and we planned to marry but never did. I did all the housework and also worked a full time job and had all household response abilities while he was away! I also bought food and paid bills. We did have c.c in both our names but not our bank accts.what are the chances of us being common law married? We got together in 1992.

A: Common law married was abolished in Georgia in 1997. So you are not married.
