Q: Can a person incarcerated for a theft charge & charged with simple escape but didn't actually escape get a bond
A: There's probably more relevant information that what's contained in your post, but going from memory, there's no reason he cannot get a bond, however, the Judge setting the bond may increase the amount of the bond quite a bit as a result of the new charge of simple escape.
