Dallas, TX asked in Personal Injury and Car Accidents for Kansas

Q: What if you have a complaint against your lawyer who can you talk to

I settled my case and my lawyer kept talking about Medicaid Medicare and I kept telling him that I was not on a government assistant program so now that my case is settled he's telling me that since he talked to the insurance company they said they had a lean on me and I told him that that is not no way they can have a lean on me because I was not on government assistance now they have told him numerous times over the phone that they do not have a lien on me he still will not release my check. First it was if they say they don't have a lien on you I release your check then after they told him that now he's the man to let it be in black and white before he released my check what can I do about this who can I call to ask for help against this lawyer or who can I talk to to get help against this lawyer

A: The Attorney is warranted to obtain a written clearance.

A: It's difficult to offer input without seeing the documents of the file. Some public agency liens move very slowly. They can be on long diaries, and some are delegated to third-party administrators that have long backlogs. Good luck
