Fort Myers, FL asked in Civil Rights for Florida

Q: Essentially, a man is eating Taco Bell and is somewhat near a Taco Bell. And is asked for ID because it’s closing hours.

Essentially, a man is eating Taco Bell and is somewhat near a Taco Bell. It is closing business around all of the stores, and assuming it is dark. Police are then called out by a business that has been robbed multiple times according to the officers. The officer comes up to the window and asks what his business here was, and ask for ID. And he states he’s eating Taco Bell and shows the bags in his car. And then proceeds to refuse ID because he is eating Taco Bell. And then because he keeps refusing, they conduct an investigation it seems like due to him refusing ID and raising suspicion. I assume he possibly gets detained later but it isn’t proven if he does or not

A: Seems like solid police work. Instead of immediately arresting you, the police conducted an investigation when they developed a reasonable suspicion.
