Lebanon, TN asked in Probate for Tennessee

Q: My father passed away 1/25/2024 at his residence in Zephyrhills, FL. He had a live in girlfriend/ caregiver of 12+ years

My father passed away 1/25/2024 at his residence in Zephyrhills, FL. He had a live in girlfriend/ caregiver of 12+ years. She stated he did not have a will. She is refusing to give us any of his ashes or any of his personal items that we are requesting. She has ceased all contact and will not speak to anyone regarding his passing. We had a brief memorial, after which she has spoken to none of us. We are not trying to obtain anything they owned or possessed jointly, just some of his belongings from before they were living together (family heirlooms, sentimental items, some of his ashes, etc). We feel time is of the essence, as we are afraid she may destroy or sell the items in spite. If you could provide any assistance, or at least show me where I can find what the family's rights are, my family and I would be very grateful. Thank you so much
