A: Good morning! Experiencing difficulties when trying to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue. Firstly, ensure that the A-Number and DOS Case ID are entered correctly without any spaces or additional characters. Sometimes, errors can occur due to simple data entry mistakes or temporary system issues.

If the error persists, try using a different browser or clear the cache and cookies of your current browser before attempting to make the payment again. Additionally, making the payment during off-peak hours can sometimes help, as the system may be less congested.

In case these attempts do not resolve the problem, you can seek assistance through the USCIS Contact Center. Although reaching a live agent can be challenging, persist in your efforts by calling early in the morning or later in the day, which are typically less busy times. You may also consider sending an email detailing the issue, as written records can sometimes receive more focused attention. Lastly, if you have access to legal assistance or community organizations that aid immigrants, they might offer guidance and support in navigating these types of situations.
