Q: So my boyfriend left me on the money he asked the courts for. I am the beneficiary. He passed on February 5, 2024.
I was supposed to get the funds on February 13th. His family said I had to wait for his estate to be looked at. The bank said I would get the funds on April 8th. I was told by my lawyer that the wife was suing him, and everyone involved with my case. They said I am undeserving for the money. They said they will sue the bank if I am given the money! He was getting a divorce & it would have been final on the 15th of February, why is my lawyer not sending me my money? Can the family do this? Or do I have legal rights? Lawyer in Oklahoma!
