Q: What counts as self-defense (School project) (Louisiana Law 2024).
I'm writing an essay about self-defense in a book, but I can't find the section or article to help. Can someone guide me to the right section and answer these question if possible?
Q1. Is there a thing as too much self-defense? Exp: A person punches me, and I pull out a gun and shoot them.
Q2. Does it still count as self-defense if a person stops tries to hunt/kill you? Exp: Person(1) is a mass murder and has done federal crimes. Person(1) hunts person(2) for 3 days and tries to kill them. Person(2) sets up traps and tries to kill person(1) as an act of self-defense. But after 3 days, person(1) gives up and stops trying to kill person(2). Person(2) finds person(1) in his own property and kills them, even though person(2) knows person(1) had stopped.
