Q: Looking for a medical negligence/malpractice lawyer in Maine that isn't afraid to handle a smaller case.
I have spoke to several Lawyers and all agree that there is negligence in my case but feel that my eyesight will not bring them a big payday. This is my vision, my life. Basically I was prescribed an inhaler via a pulmonary doctor that I never needed. And from taking these inhaled steroids it has caused me to develop Central Serous Retinopathy. I have pretty much lost most of my vision in my right eye. Left eye is starting to deteriorate. I found out in August or September 2023 from my retinal specialist that it was caused from steroids. My pulmonologist told me he prescribed them because of my asthma. I never have had asthma. I have had a full pulmonary workup that proves this and the pulmonologist cannot provide the test that supposedly states that I had asthma. In a office note in 2016? the Dr. wrote that symptoms maybe related to anxiety and not asthma. He also knew I was going blind but never reevaluated the medication that he prescribed to me. Please someone help
