New York, NY asked in Family Law and Child Custody for Pennsylvania

Q: Summer Vacation Dispute: Mother recklessly denying my proposed vacation (High Conflict Relationship)

I proposed a vacation in June.

Mother denies my vacation saying, “my family already bought the tickets to come see them, they only come once every few years, and can’t change the tickets”.

She is trying to use the same vacation days as me after I have already made the proposal.

Her family recklessly chose tickets that coincide with 2 of my holidays.

The custody agreement states that each parent will give 30 days notice for proposing vacations.

So basically, I planned a vacation that coincides with 2 of my holidays, mother then tells me about her family visiting and wanting that time, and is denying me the vacation.

She agrees to give me 2 weekends which are during my vacation, but not the full week, which I want to go to the beach, etc.

Custody agreement is not comprehensive in stating what would happen if parties disagree on vacations, but I gave notice ahead of the 30 days time. What are some options? I would like to avoid a contempt Hearing but it seems like the only option.
