Portland, OR asked in Child Support for Oregon

Q: Short-term marriage in Oregon, legal residency.

My husband of 2.5 years will be filing for divorce. He sponsored me and 2 minors from my previous marriage. We are legal residents for 10 years. I-864 requires him to provide me with financial support equal to 125 percent of federal poverty level for a family of three for 40 total quarters (37 remaining), minus any earnings. We are then entitled to $32, 275 (minus any earnings) in 2024. I make more than that with a job acquired a few weeks ago so he doesn't have to provide us with support in reference to I-864. However, my job provides no health insurance, and no retirement, zero benefits. We need to move asap since the situation is unhealthy, acquire new furniture, etc. I need to understand for a short-term marriage in Oregon if I can claim spouse support since we have significant income differences (I believe this is usually 30% of the income difference in Oregon) and most importantly for how long. How many months? Thank you.
