Q: How can I have a dismissed civil record removed?
My mentally ill sister tried to have me killed. When that failed, she tried both filing a false police report and then a restraining order. Since the claims were baseless, nothing happened of course and everything was dismissed. Yet my otherwise perfect, immaculate, spotless record for my entire life now has this record showing up. I am worried about the impact it will have on trying to rent a place to live, get hired, etc....if they run a background check. She has even agreed to do whatever is required to help me have it removed - but how and what is the procedure?
