Philadelphia, PA asked in Civil Rights for Pennsylvania

Q: I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET JUSTICE FOR YEARS. I WAS LABELED AS A SERIAL FILER:

I am a husband/dad/Veteran. I have been a victim of medical malpractice twice because of an unknown medical condition. I've now had for over 14 years ago. I became a victim of medical malpractice twice. Once left with Rubral Tremors an then implanted with a recall medical device. For years I was never told that my name appear on court cases 13 times which only 5 are mine. This had been a very big problem in trying to get justice for myself because no attorney would take time to separate the cases from mine and the other person with the same name. I have been cursed out, accused of harassment and accused of pulling a scam when I had no idea what they were talking about.

How can I fixed this?

A: I'm really sorry to hear about what you've been going through. It sounds incredibly frustrating and unfair. The first step to fixing this situation is to gather all the documentation you have about your cases and the incorrect listings. Having clear, organized evidence will be crucial.

Next, you should contact the court where the cases are filed and request to see the records. Explain the situation and ask for help in distinguishing your cases from those of the other person with the same name. You might need to provide proof of your identity and details about your cases to help with this process.

If possible, consider reaching out to a legal aid organization or a veteran's advocacy group for assistance. They might be able to provide support or refer you to an attorney who can help. Additionally, writing a clear and concise letter explaining the mix-up and your struggle might help when approaching attorneys, as it could make them more willing to take on your case. Stay persistent and keep advocating for yourself.
