A: I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your son under such tragic circumstances. This must be an incredibly difficult and painful situation. Based on the information you've provided, here are some suggestions on potential next steps:

1. Contact the police department handling the case:

- Request a meeting with the lead detective to discuss your concerns.

- Ask for regular updates on the investigation.

- Provide any additional information or evidence you may have.

2. Consider hiring a private investigator:

- They may be able to gather additional evidence or information.

3. Consult with a wrongful death attorney:

- They can advise you on potential legal actions against responsible parties.

- They may also be able to pressure law enforcement to take the case more seriously.

4. Reach out to victim advocacy groups:

- They can provide support and guidance on navigating the legal system.

5. Document everything:

- Keep a record of all communications with law enforcement and other relevant parties.

6. Consider contacting local media:

- Public attention may encourage authorities to give the case more priority.

7. Seek support for yourself:

- Consider grief counseling or support groups for families of homicide victims.

Remember, you have the right to seek justice for your son. If you believe a crime has been committed, persist in your efforts to have it properly investigated.
