Q: Can I sue the Hospital for a misdiagnosis?
About 14 years ago I was Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis I went through Treatment after Treatment one after another they failed I had multiple scopes done and it was the same result as the years went my condition got worse I missed lots of school, missed holidays, sports, and time with friends because I was constantly in and out of the hospital
I was put on lots of other meds in the process on being medical steroids to force me to gain weight, tablets for nausea,
and many others. And nothing worked and my last option was Surgery since they already tried every treatment they possibly could. Fast forward to 2020 January 22 I had a Colostomy Surgery that gave me a colostomy bag and I thought everything was going to be ok after that then I later found out I was misdiagnosis and turns out I had Crohn's and I've been stuck in a void of anger, depression it caused hurt to my family and to this day I'm still on medication I take Stelara Injection once every 2 months.
A: A West Virginia attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. I'm sorry for your ordeal. Your sentiments are understandable. The best thing for you to do would be to try to arrange a consult with a med mal law firm in West Virginia. Free initial consults and contingency-based representation are the norm with such cases. The timeline here is a long one, and a local attorney would be in the best position to analyze all possible issues in terms of their timeliness. Good luck
