Possibly. Most legitimate background checks will rely on what's called ICHAT, which is maintained by the Michigan State Police. That report will have three columns: arrest, prosecution, and disposition. In other words, the report will indicate what you were arrested for, what you were charged with, and what the final charges were, if any. The nolle pros would appear in that last column. You legally can state that you were not convicted of it, of course.
Further, the internet is omni-present now. Some courts or newspapers still publish names of people arrested, so there may be something that comes up in a Google search.
