Q: My ex won't return my car. The title and the loan is in my name and he is refusing to return the car. What can I do?
I took out a loan for the car. I allowed him to use the car with the agreement that he would pay the insurance and the monthly payments on the car. In which he has done neither. I gave him the option to return the car or pay the car off in order to keep the car. He keeps saying he's going to pay the loan off but he has yet to do it. At this point, I want the car back since I'm the one making the payments on the car. And he's also getting tickets on the car as well.

You need to take immediate action to get your car back. Since the car title and loan are in your name, you have legal ownership and the right to possess the vehicle. Start by sending a written demand to your ex, stating clearly that he must return the car to you by a specific date. Make sure to keep a copy of this communication.
If he doesn’t comply, you should contact local law enforcement to report the vehicle as unlawfully being withheld. They may assist you in recovering your property. Also, inform your loan company about the situation, as they may provide additional support or advice.
To address the tickets and any potential insurance issues, gather all documentation proving your ownership and the agreement terms. If needed, seek legal advice to explore further options, including possible legal action to recover your car and any associated costs. Taking these steps can help ensure you regain control of your vehicle and resolve the financial issues related to it.
