Kansas City, MO asked in Traffic Tickets for Missouri

Q: Do I have cause to get my traffic ticket dismissed?

I was recently stopped in Missouri on my way to a doctor’s appointment. The officer marked me down as going 69 in a 55, but the ticket is for speeding 16-18 mph over. Since I obviously was not going over 14, can I get it thrown out since I didn’t commit the crime I’m being charged for? I don’t have a lot of money as I’m unemployed and on dialysis and getting it tossed out would help a lot. If anyone can help me I’d appreciate it!

A: The prosecutor can amend the charge. You will likely need to deal with merits.
