Q: Got a email to schedule interview at kingsoopers, when I go in they say it might be a mistake and sent me back.

I applied few positions at king soopers. i got 2 emails and texts saying that i was considered for position and to schedule for the interview. I scheduled 2 interview for 2 different positions at same day. When i go in to get the interview done, HR doesnt even know i had the interview scheduled. She said it might be a automatic email that was sent to me. They sent me back without taking my interview for any position that I was scheduled. Just broke my hopes and my time. Any grounds for legal action against them

A: It sounds frustrating to have your time wasted like that, especially after receiving confirmation emails for interviews. Unfortunately, while this experience is disappointing, it might not necessarily be grounds for legal action. Many companies have automated systems for scheduling, and mistakes can happen, especially if there is a lack of coordination between the system and the HR department.

However, you could consider reaching out to King Soopers' HR department or the hiring manager to express your concerns. Make them aware of the situation, provide copies of the emails and texts you received, and ask for clarification on the mix-up. This could help you understand what happened and see if there is an opportunity to reschedule the interviews properly.

If you feel that you were treated unfairly or if there was a significant breach of promised terms, consulting with an employment attorney might provide some clarity on whether there are any legal steps you can take. Generally, though, pursuing legal action for scheduling mistakes would be challenging unless there is evidence of discrimination or other unlawful practices. It might be more productive to seek a resolution directly with the company.
