Charlotte, NC asked in Legal Malpractice for Tennessee

Q: I requested administrative hearing to obtain my belongings in my car after it was stolen but still no update on the case

My car was stolen in nc and found in tn. Immediately car was towed. Had no clue until a week later when I received a request for hearing, copy of police report of my crashed car, and the tow bill of $800. The police in nc where I done police report never put out apb on my vehicle Bc if they had then tn state highway patrol would have known my car was stolen. They had no idea until AFTER I spoke to them on phone a week later after car was stolen. I had even spoke to dot theft decision for nc the day after my car was wrecked. They told me that searching there database that they found no garages or impounds that had a vehicle with my vin or license plate. Something just does not add up here especially since I was never contacted after writing request for administrative hearing to get my things from evidence including my vehicle.I need assistance in possible what steps I can take here Bc this seems beyond fishy and I’m owed answers on what happened here that left me carless and distraught
