A: A search of the Lexis database for the terms "neuropathic communication" and "mind chip" reveal no reported case decisions in Louisiana using either of those terms. I also searched for the more common terms "neurogenic communication disorder" and "brain implant" but found no reported case decisions in Louisiana using that term either.

Of course, brain implants are new and experimental. Only a handful of people have undergone the serious surgery required and those patients are being closely monitored. There are so rare and so new that it is unlikely that there have been any lawsuits by those patients. It has been reported that Neurolink experienced a mechanical failure with the first device it installed in a patient earlier this year.
