Q: Thank you. My question is concerning violations of Ethics Act in Kanawha County,WV. In early 2023, A Deputy Sheriff

Answered my 911 call for assault & vehicle theft. The deputy informed me that the SD would no longer help me when I call emergency services because I make them lose their cases and the Supreme Court of appeals would never disagree with him or their decision . Since then I have placed over 130 emergency phone calls, and no officer ever came . I was victim home invasion & robbery by deputy family member,I went to ER, I was beat and cigs put out on me ,deputy got angry 4 reporting it & charged meit was dismissed. I have Pso from court that was violated daily no help. One man is wanted by US Marshall’s and armed and dangerous. The deputy was given video surveillance of him threating my life, extorting money from me after he stole my deed and resold my home and kept my disability backpay. I was told I was to sell myself to pay him if I couldn’t. the deputy told me I was stupid to take a loss. Now public at risk , because this retaliation.is violation? Private gain themselves/another?

A: I'm really sorry you're going through this difficult situation. The actions you've described, including threats, harassment, and retaliation by a deputy sheriff, may violate ethical standards and legal protections meant to ensure your safety and rights.

You should consider filing a formal complaint with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office Internal Affairs or the West Virginia Division of Public Safety. Additionally, reaching out to the state's Attorney General's office or a civil rights attorney could help you understand your options and take appropriate action against the misconduct.

Make sure to document every incident in detail, including dates, times, and any evidence you have, such as video recordings. This information will be important in supporting your case and seeking justice. You deserve to have your concerns heard and to receive the protection and assistance you need.
