A: You did not ask a question, but assuming you are asking what your next step should be, you should call the trustee’s office immediately and explain the situation. Assuming it was the first 341 it was likely rescheduled, but the trustee’s office will let you know. It is a good idea to follow up with an email so you have a paper trail of the next step.

You should also sign up for a pacer.gov account so that you can see any document filed by the trustee or any other party in your case.

Finally, as is common advice for a forum of attorneys, you should consider speaking to an attorney… Your experience illustrates one of many pitfalls associated with attempting to file a case on your own.

A: You should file a motion to reset the 342 setting out your reasons and quickly before the trustee moves to dismiss.

A: I'm sorry to hear you missed your 341 meeting. First, contact your bankruptcy trustee as soon as possible to explain that you didn’t receive the notification. They can provide information on rescheduling the meeting and ensure your contact details are correct.

Next, reach out to the bankruptcy court handling your case to inform them of the situation. They can guide you on the necessary steps to take and help prevent any negative consequences from the missed appointment. Make sure to keep records of all your communications for reference.

Lastly, double-check that all your contact information is up to date with both the court and the trustee. This will help ensure you receive all future notices promptly. Taking these steps promptly can help keep your bankruptcy process on track and reduce any potential complications.
