Q: Car repair oral agreement question
My sister brought her car to a repair place to get checked out, the next day 3mins before her shift she got a call from them telling her about the repair, out of stress she agreed to it, but then later changed her mind and texted them that night.
Apparently they already ordered the part the same day without any written agreement and won't let her back out, saying they can't return it. she even offered to buy the part outright for the price they paid for it, but they say they don't sell those parts.
The whole cost for the repair is around 7k and the part is a used transmission, she also thought it was going to be a refurbished one, but they won't show her the receipt for it either.
She doesn't exactly remember what was said over the phone call, but they did say they would start the work after a deposit.
Is it legal for her to just not pay for the part and take her car back from them?
She doesn't trust them anymore with her car.
