Q: my candidate for Maumelle City Council, Pulaski County Arkansas is 19.9915% away from the 1st place candidate. Runoff?
The 1st place candidate received 47.9146% of the total votes cast (Under/Over votes excluded). The 2nd place candidate received 27.9231% of the vote and has a difference of 19.912% between the two candidates. The law as I read requires the 1st place candidate to achieve greater than or equal to 20% of the votes above the 2nd place candidate. Will this be a runoff?
