Q: Desperately seeking help for a vehicle, we purchased and still have not received.
In October 2024, we made a purchase of a vehicle for $4,500.00 from a private seller. Now that we are in November, we have put an additional $5,000.00 into the vehicle, but it has not yet been received. We have a signed and notarized bill of sale, along with all communications exchanged with the seller. The seller has claimed that after her acquaintance learned who the buyer was, she decided to hide the vehicle in her garage. We have been informed that her mother has some influence over law enforcement, and despite our efforts to involve the police, they have stated that this is a civil matter and advised us to seek legal assistance. Our primary goal is to obtain the vehicle; however, if that is not achievable, we would like to recover the total amount owed which is $9,500.00.
