New York, NY asked in Real Estate Law for Maine

Q: My land that is accessed by a driveway on a deeded ROW, briefly crosses the neighbors property line for 50’, easement ?

I purchased land that is accessed by a driveway that starts on a deeded ROW, that briefly crosses the neighbors property line for 50’ as 30 Years ago they laid the driveway down crooked, but then returns to the ROW. Another house on this driveway has been using it like this for 20 years, and the neighboring property bought their property as-is with this driveway incursion into theirs. The house that currently uses this driveway that doesn’t stick within its own ROW, is working on getting a permanent easement conveyed to accesses there house(adjacent to my lot) & would resolve my possible future use issue (so I believe) even though they currently use this driveway daily, and it has been there 20 years.

Do I need to get a signed easement as well? One conveyed to my property, if the other house gets a permanent easement for the use of the driveway where it dips into the neighbors? Won’t “their” easement grant the shared driveway access?
