Q: After FMLA leave I gave my HR a note with my name, restrictions and a box checked yes that I can return to work. It was
Signed by my doctor. They sent me home. On the second day I brought in a note and they allowed me to work the full day. The following day they denied the note stating that because it was a printed note provided by my employer's third party FMLA leave provider to my dr, that they could not accept it and it needed to be something from their office, so they sent me home, after working previous day. I then got a note for my doctor stating that I went to see her on 11/1/24 and that my restrictions were to limit all lifting over 50 lb and no pushing or pulling of weighted objects over 30 lb and that they are valid from 11/16/24 to 5-6-25. 11/16 was my return date agreed upon by HR. They again denied this saying that it needs to literally say he is cleared for work, and sent me home again. I have now missed 7 days. Is this legal? Can they deny my return while they ask for clarification? It's clear what the restriction start of 11/16/24 meant, and I never provide my HR with medical updates
