Q: My husband and I adopted a friend of ours' daughter because she got taken away for neglect by CPS
We fostered her for 18 months and her mother didn't do anything CPS asked her to do so she signed over her rights. We didn't know about our adopted daughters bio father and was never brought in the equation or never mentioned. When our adopted daughter turned 13 she looked up her bio father on Facebook and found him and started to have a relationship with him. He would send her care packages and send her gift cards etc. so he asked to see her and we agreed to give him a chance and he ended up being this really nice guy and he loves our daughter so much. We let her go on vacation with them and she stayed at there house over the summer, and now they have this connection and she wants to live with him. We aren't opposed to this because he didn't get a chance when she came to our house. Their bond is so great and we just want our daughter to be happy. What would we do if we let him adopt our daughter and how would we go about something like this?
