Rogersville, TN asked in Criminal Law and Civil Rights for Tennessee

Q: ME and my husband was arrested on some charges last year but they are half bogus so I need to know what w should do

about a year and a half ago, DCS showed up at my home with law enforcement and said there had been a complaint made to DCS saying that we had a "marijuana" grow lab in our basement and said they were there to check on the kids and search the house. they asked me for my permission to search the basement and at first I said no and they told me if I didn't corporate it would only be making it much worse on myself, so I said yes but only if they spoke with my husband first and he thought it would be okay to say yes. My husband was in the bathroom at that very moment so I said that I would go and get him and we could all talk about it outside and not in front of our children. The DCs lady and a police officers stated to me that was not happening and pushed their way through my front door and the lady continued to speak with me while the officer andseveral other officers literally went to our bathroom door, opened the door, and there's a lot more to this story but I wouldn't let me post it

A: First of all, when you go on a public forum like this, you need to keep your question to legal issues without talking about all of the facts. It is a little late to give you Miranda rights; however, anything you say can and will be used against you. Second, there is no way that an online lawyer can resolve and entire case for you. Third, you need to hire a good criminal defense attorney and go from there. I hope that this helps.
