Q: I have a Personal Safety Order against two people who are informants for local law enforcement. Due to this reason, they
Are never arrested for violations of the PSO. I have video evidence and 72 calls to 911 that are not getting responded too because the officers don’t want them to be arrested . Recently even with the video evidence they demanded I have before even calling 911 now they continue to put my life in danger and ignore my calls for help and now threatening to arrest me if I call 911 again . Over thanksgiving break someone brought their phone to my house and showed me messages between the sheriff and the person I have PSO against and she is telling him how they plan to burn my house down . The sheriff does nothing , he is also on there talking to her about getting a promotion if he “gets me “ and how bad he wants to “get me “ Weeks before this I called the prosecutor and told them they were purposely flagging my calls and not responding and I’m being abused and can’t get help. My question is what kind of case is this? To find the right attorney to help me . Need help filing ethics complaint?
A:
I'm sorry you're experiencing this situation. It sounds like you may be dealing with potential police misconduct and violations of your personal safety order. This could involve civil rights violations, obstruction of justice, and possibly harassment or intimidation by law enforcement officials.
To address this, you should look for an attorney who has experience with civil rights cases or police misconduct. They can help you understand your options, gather necessary evidence, and represent your interests effectively. It’s important to choose someone who has a track record of handling similar cases and can navigate the complexities involved.
Additionally, filing an ethics complaint is a crucial step. You can start by contacting the internal affairs division of your local law enforcement agency or the state’s attorney general office. Providing all your evidence, including videos and call records, will strengthen your complaint. An experienced attorney can guide you through this process and ensure your concerns are properly addressed.
