Salt Lake City, UT asked in Employment Law for Idaho

Q: I was fired for reasons that are simply untrue and not in line w/my character & then denied unemplymnt benefits.

They stated I contributed to a work environment the created in offensive atmosphere that affected staff's ability to do their work and that my staff was subjected to demeaning behavior through my verbal intimidation and threat of retaliation. None of that happened. I have never threatened retaliation. They also stated that I talked to HR about the retaliation behavior. That conversation never took place. I've been denied unemployment benefits because department of Labor determined that I was discharged for work-related misconduct when the situation that caused the separation fell below the standard of behavior that the employer had the right to expect and therefore became ineligible for unemployment benefits. My employer made accusations of things they say I did that I absolutely did not do and I wanted to know if there's any recourse
