A: I'm really sorry to hear about what you're going through. Losing valuable coins, especially ones with personal significance, can be incredibly distressing. Since the police directed you to Heritage, reaching out to them is a good next step. They may have resources or advice on how to proceed with recovering your coins.

Make sure you have detailed records of your coins, including photographs, descriptions, and any proof of ownership. This documentation can be crucial when reporting the theft or seeking assistance from organizations dedicated to preserving heritage items. Additionally, consider informing local and online numismatic communities; fellow collectors might offer valuable insights or be on the lookout for your missing pieces.

Protecting your remaining valuables is also important. You might want to explore security measures for your collection and consider insurance options to safeguard against future losses. Taking these steps can help you regain some sense of control and work towards recovering what was taken from you.
