Q: Iowa, Lower court judge failed to see a conflict, defendant and attorney. Conversation about this conflict
Original artorney, failed to come to a.meeting at his office aug 6, 2024 pretrial hearing Aug 13th and trial Aug 20th. Attorney does not call and there is no contact until attorney is at court house. Defendant wanted explanation but attorney just wanted to enter court room
Once in court room. Proceedings began and defendant stopped courts and began to adress attorney about no show, no call and how defendant does not feel comfortable entering this court room with, does not feel comfortable talking open in court room plus defendant does not feel comfortable going forward. Clearly a basic conflict, but judge jumps in and fails to recognize conflict
. Instead begins to attack defendant, about how long case has gone on and blamed defendant for dragging case. When defendant attempted to point out about attorney missing meeting judge requested deputy sheriff's gagged defendant and went back! On record
