Q: Should I consent to a urine test in Iowa after passing sobriety and breathalyzer tests?
In Iowa, I was stopped under suspicion of OWI. I passed both the field sobriety test and the breathalyzer test. However, the officer suggested I might be under the influence of something else and requested a urine test. I denied being under the influence of anything else, but I was informed that refusing the test would result in an automatic license suspension for one year. Despite this, I am now facing OWI charges. Should I have consented to the urine test in this situation?
