Tallassee, AL asked in Traffic Tickets for Georgia

Q: Facing license suspension for 2022 ticket in Georgia, paid fine early 2023, need advice.

I received a ticket for suspended registration on 11/24/2022, which I paid on 03/14/2023. Recently, I received a letter stating my license is suspended. They are asking for an additional $200, attendance at a driving course, and my license will be suspended for one year starting now. Why am I facing these consequences two years after the original ticket, and what can I do to resolve this?
